Must Read

In simple language Tourism is travel for peace, pleasure and for business purpose. We limit common perception regarding tourism is to holiday activity, as people travel, stay in outer locations rather than their regular location.

Scope of tourism in India is very high as a million of people from various corners of the world visits India to see its world-famous structures and places. Also, tourism in India is very important for the country economy.

In 2018 tourism contributed 9.2% of the country GDP. Before COVID-19 tourism was growing rapidly but after COVID-19 its pace gets slower. Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Agra were the most visited places by foreigners in India.

Tourism not only contributes to the GDP of India but also provides employment to many people such as guides, guards, maintenance staff, etc. It will not wrong if we will say there will be very limited foreigners who went back to their residents without visiting the world-famous monument of India, i.e. Tajmahal. Tajmahal which is also known as the Sign of love, was built by Shahjehan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mehal.

Recently the world’s tallest statue was built in India of 597 feet in the memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Vallabhbhai Patel was the first Home Minister and first Deputy Prime Minister of Independent India. Many people of India and foreign came to see the world’s tallest statue, also known as Statue of Unity.

India is a Tourist place surrounded by the Himalayas, Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. India which is well known and rich for its Heritage, Culture, Religious Temples, Wildlife sanctuaries which attracts the tourists to visit at least once in life.
